Disclaimers & Licensing

About Corgi
Corgi is a vertically integrated insurance group. The Corgi group includes licensed insurance producers, affiliated licensed insurance carriers, and affiliated claims administration operations. When we refer to "Corgi," "we," "us," or "our" on this website, we are referring to the Corgi group of companies collectively, unless a specific entity is identified.
The Corgi group owns and controls multiple licensed risk-bearing insurance entities domiciled in various U.S. states. These affiliated carriers underwrite coverage offered through the Corgi platform. The Corgi group also maintains affiliated claims administration operations staffed by licensed adjusters.
Insurance products and services offered through this website are distributed by licensed insurance producer entities within the Corgi group. Producer entities act as authorized agents on behalf of affiliated and partner carriers. Producer entities do not themselves underwrite insurance risk.
The specific carrier underwriting any given policy, and the claims administrator assigned to that policy, will be identified in the policy documents issued to the insured.
How Insurance Is Provided Through Corgi
Underwriting
Coverage offered through the Corgi platform is underwritten by licensed insurance carrier affiliates within the Corgi group or by third-party carrier partners, depending on the product, jurisdiction, and risk profile. The Corgi group's affiliated carriers are licensed or authorized to transact insurance in their respective domiciliary states and operate in other states as permitted by applicable law, including the federal Liability Risk Retention Act of 1986 where applicable.
Distribution
Insurance products may be distributed by licensed insurance producer entities within the Corgi group. These entities hold active producer, agent, or agency licenses in the jurisdictions in which they operate.
Claims
Claims on policies underwritten by Corgi-affiliated carriers may be administered by affiliated claims operations within the Corgi group. The Corgi group's claims affiliates employ licensed adjusters and provide services including claims adjusting, third-party administration, catastrophe response, first notice of loss intake, mediations, and appraisals.
Licensing
Each entity within the Corgi group is separately licensed or authorized in accordance with the laws and regulations of the jurisdictions in which it operates. The Corgi group's producer entities hold active insurance producer licenses in 45 U.S. jurisdictions. The Corgi group's affiliated carriers hold certificates of authority or are otherwise authorized to transact insurance business in their respective domiciliary states.
The identity of the licensed carrier and claims administrator for any specific policy is disclosed in the applicable policy documents.
Specialty Insurance Carrier and Underwriting Disclosures
Coverage offered through the Corgi platform may be underwritten by a variety of affiliated and third-party insurance carriers and insurers, including but not limited to admitted carriers, non-admitted carriers, surplus lines insurers, risk retention groups, captive insurance companies, association captives, mutual insurance companies, reciprocal insurers, interinsurance exchanges, protected cell companies, segregated portfolio companies, insurance pools, syndicates, joint underwriting associations, fronting carriers, offshore insurers, alien insurers, purchasing groups, and other specialty or alternative risk transfer vehicles (collectively, "Specialty Insurance Carriers").
Each Specialty Insurance Carrier is separately licensed, authorized, registered, or otherwise permitted to transact insurance business in accordance with the laws of its domiciliary jurisdiction and any other jurisdictions in which it operates. The regulatory framework, licensing requirements, capital and surplus standards, and consumer protections applicable to each Specialty Insurance Carrier vary by entity type, domiciliary jurisdiction, and applicable law.
Policyholders should be aware that certain Specialty Insurance Carriers may not be admitted insurers in the state in which the insured risk is located. Policies issued by non-admitted insurers, risk retention groups, captive insurers, and certain other Specialty Insurance Carriers may not be subject to all of the insurance laws and regulations of your state. State insurance insolvency guaranty funds may not be available for policies issued by non-admitted insurers, risk retention groups, captive insurance companies, offshore insurers, or other non-admitted Specialty Insurance Carriers. In the event of the insolvency of such a carrier, policyholders may not have access to state guaranty fund protection and may bear the risk of the carrier's inability to pay claims.
Certain Specialty Insurance Carriers may involve structures in which insurance risk is shared, pooled, ceded, retained, or transferred among multiple entities, including through reinsurance, fronting arrangements, risk pooling, or self-insured retention layers. In such arrangements, the issuing carrier identified in your policy documents remains legally responsible for all obligations under the policy, including the payment of claims, regardless of any underlying risk transfer or sharing arrangement.
Certain Specialty Insurance Carriers may be owned by their policyholders or subscribers, and policyholders or subscribers may be subject to assessments, dividend distributions, or other financial obligations in accordance with the carrier's charter, bylaws, subscriber agreement, or applicable law. The governance, management, and financial structure of policyholder-owned or subscriber-owned carriers differ from those of stock insurance companies.
Premiums, coverage terms, policy forms, and regulatory protections may differ depending on the type of Specialty Insurance Carrier underwriting your coverage. Coverage issued by surplus lines or non-admitted insurers may be subject to surplus lines premium taxes, stamping fees, or other charges in addition to the policy premium.
The specific Specialty Insurance Carrier underwriting your coverage, its domiciliary jurisdiction, its regulatory status, and any applicable entity-specific disclosures will be clearly identified in your policy documents. Policyholders are encouraged to review their policy documents carefully and to contact their insurance advisor or Corgi with any questions about the identity, regulatory status, or financial condition of the carrier underwriting their coverage.
Additional information about the licensing and regulatory status of any Corgi-affiliated Specialty Insurance Carrier is available upon request by contacting legal@corgi.insure.
Reinsurance Disclosures
Certain Corgi-affiliated carriers may cede or transfer a portion of the insurance risk they underwrite to third-party reinsurance companies. Reinsurance is an arrangement between an insurance company (the ceding company) and a reinsurer in which the reinsurer agrees to indemnify the ceding company against a portion of the risks it underwrites.
Reinsurance does not alter the terms and conditions of your insurance policy. Your policy is a contract between you and the issuing carrier, and the issuing carrier remains solely responsible for all obligations under the policy, including the payment of claims, regardless of any reinsurance arrangements.
You have no direct contractual relationship with, or right of action against, any reinsurer. The insolvency or failure of a reinsurer does not relieve the issuing carrier of its obligations under your policy, although it may affect the issuing carrier's financial condition.
Claims Handling Disclosures
Claims on policies underwritten by Corgi-affiliated carriers are administered by affiliated claims operations within the Corgi group. Claims may also be administered by third-party claims administrators or adjusters engaged by the issuing carrier.
The claims administrator handling your claim will be identified in your policy documents or in communications from the issuing carrier at the time a claim is reported. All claims are handled in accordance with applicable state unfair claims settlement practices laws and regulations.
The use of an affiliated or third-party claims administrator does not relieve the issuing carrier of its obligations under the policy. The issuing carrier remains responsible for all coverage determinations and claims payments.
If you have a dispute regarding the handling of a claim, you may contact the insurance department in your state of residence or the insurance department of the issuing carrier's state of domicile.
Policy Cancellation and Nonrenewal
Policies issued through the Corgi platform are subject to cancellation and nonrenewal provisions as set forth in the applicable policy and in accordance with the laws of the state in which the insured risk is located. The issuing carrier reserves the right to cancel or non-renew a policy in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the policy.
If your policy is cancelled or non-renewed, you will receive advance written notice in accordance with applicable state law. The notice will identify the reason for cancellation or nonrenewal and any applicable return premium.
Corgi Insurance Services, Inc., as the producer, may also be entitled to cancel its agency relationship or discontinue offering certain products, which may affect the availability of coverage at renewal.
Premium and Payment Disclosures
Premiums quoted through the Corgi platform are estimates based on the information provided by the applicant and are subject to change based on underwriting review, verification of information, and applicable rating factors. Final premiums are determined by the issuing carrier and will be reflected in the issued policy.
Premium payment terms, including installment options, late payment fees, and consequences of non-payment (including cancellation), are governed by the terms of the issued policy and applicable state law.
Corgi Insurance Services, Inc. may receive compensation in the form of commissions, fees, or other consideration from the issuing carrier or from the insured in connection with the placement of insurance. The nature and amount of such compensation is available upon request.
Fraud Warnings
Any person who knowingly and with intent to defraud any insurance company or another person files an application for insurance or statement of claim containing any materially false information, or conceals for the purpose of misleading information concerning any fact material thereto, may be subject to criminal and civil penalties, including but not limited to fines, denial of insurance benefits, and imprisonment.
Applicable state fraud warning notices will be provided with your insurance application and/or policy documents as required by law. The specific language of the fraud warning varies by state. If you have questions about the fraud warning applicable to your state, please contact legal@corgi.insure.
Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) Disclosure
Under the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002, as amended and reauthorized ("TRIA"), insurers are required to make available coverage for losses resulting from certified acts of terrorism. Where applicable, policies issued through the Corgi platform will include a disclosure regarding the availability of terrorism coverage, the premium charge for terrorism coverage, and the federal share of compensation for insured losses.
The definition of a "certified act of terrorism" is an act that is certified by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Attorney General of the United States, to be an act of terrorism under the terms of TRIA.
Policyholders may accept or reject terrorism coverage to the extent permitted by applicable law and the terms of the policy. The premium for terrorism coverage, if applicable, will be separately identified.
OFAC and Sanctions Compliance
In accordance with U.S. law, including but not limited to the regulations administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC") of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Corgi-affiliated carriers and producer entities are prohibited from providing insurance or insurance-related services to, or for the benefit of, any person, entity, or country that is the target of U.S. economic or trade sanctions.
Coverage will not be provided, and claims will not be paid, if doing so would violate any applicable sanctions law, regulation, or executive order. This includes, but is not limited to, transactions involving persons or entities on the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List), or persons or entities located in, organized under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in sanctioned countries or regions.
If it is determined at any time that an insured, claimant, or other party to a transaction is a sanctioned person or entity, the policy may be voided, cancelled, or coverage may be denied in accordance with applicable law.
Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Disclosure
In connection with your application for insurance, a consumer report or investigative consumer report may be requested from a consumer reporting agency. Such reports may contain information about your credit history, claims history, driving record, criminal record, and other background information.
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.), you have the right to be informed if information from a consumer report is used in a decision to deny, cancel, or non-renew your insurance coverage, or to charge a higher premium. If such action is taken based in whole or in part on information contained in a consumer report, you will be provided with the name and address of the consumer reporting agency that furnished the report.
You have the right to obtain a copy of your consumer report, to dispute the accuracy or completeness of information in the report, and to have inaccurate or unverifiable information corrected or deleted. For more information about your rights under the FCRA, visit the Federal Trade Commission's website at www.ftc.gov.
Credit-Based Insurance Scoring
Corgi-affiliated carriers may use credit-based insurance scores as a factor in underwriting and rating decisions, where permitted by applicable state law. A credit-based insurance score is a numerical ranking based on information in your credit report that is predictive of future insurance losses.
The use of credit-based insurance scores is regulated by state law and varies by jurisdiction. In some states, the use of credit information in insurance underwriting or rating is prohibited or restricted. Where credit information is used, it is one of multiple factors considered and is not the sole basis for any underwriting or rating decision.
If your credit information is used in connection with an insurance decision, you will be notified in accordance with applicable state and federal law, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Artificial Intelligence and Automated Decision-Making
Corgi uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, algorithms, and other automated tools in various aspects of its insurance operations, which may include but are not limited to marketing, quoting, underwriting, pricing, policy issuance, claims processing, fraud detection, and customer service.
The use of AI and automated decision-making tools is subject to human oversight and is designed to complement, not replace, human judgment in material coverage and claims decisions. Automated tools are regularly tested and monitored to help ensure they operate in a fair, accurate, and non-discriminatory manner.
Where required by applicable state law, Corgi will provide notice of the use of AI or automated decision-making in insurance decisions and will make available any required disclosures, explanations, or appeal processes.
Corgi does not use AI or automated tools to unfairly discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
Financial Privacy / Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act
Corgi collects, uses, and discloses nonpublic personal financial information in accordance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (15 U.S.C. § 6801 et seq.) and applicable state insurance information privacy laws. Nonpublic personal information includes information provided on insurance applications, information about insurance transactions, and information obtained from consumer reports.
Corgi restricts access to nonpublic personal information to those employees, agents, and affiliates who need the information to provide products and services to you. Corgi maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect nonpublic personal information.
A detailed privacy notice describing our information collection, use, and sharing practices is provided to policyholders at the time of policy issuance and annually thereafter, as required by law. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
Notice of Information Practices
In connection with your application for insurance, Corgi and its affiliated entities may collect personal information from you and from third-party sources, including but not limited to consumer reporting agencies, prior insurers, employers, financial institutions, medical providers, and government agencies.
The information collected may be used to evaluate your application, determine your eligibility for coverage, establish your premium, administer your policy, process claims, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
You have the right, upon written request, to be informed of the nature and substance of the personal information collected about you, to obtain access to such information, and to request correction of any factually inaccurate information, subject to applicable law. Requests should be directed to legal@corgi.insure.
Anti-Discrimination and Fair Insurance Practices
Corgi and its affiliated entities are committed to compliance with all applicable federal and state anti-discrimination and fair insurance practices laws. Underwriting, rating, claims handling, and all other insurance practices are conducted without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, genetic information, status as a victim of domestic violence, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
If you believe you have been subjected to unfair discrimination in connection with insurance services provided through the Corgi platform, you may file a complaint with the insurance department in your state of residence or contact Corgi directly at legal@corgi.insure.
Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA)
Corgi and its affiliated entities comply with the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (50 U.S.C. § 3901 et seq.) and applicable state military service protections. Active duty servicemembers may be entitled to certain protections under the SCRA, including but not limited to interest rate reductions on pre-service obligations, protection against default judgments, and restrictions on policy cancellation.
If you are an active duty servicemember or dependent of an active duty servicemember and believe you are entitled to protections under the SCRA or applicable state law, please contact legal@corgi.insure to discuss your rights and options.
Binding Authority and Policy Issuance
No insurance coverage is bound or effective until a policy has been issued by the underwriting carrier and the required premium has been received. Quotes, proposals, applications, binders, and other pre-policy communications are not insurance policies and do not provide coverage.
A binder of insurance, if issued, provides temporary coverage for a limited period pending issuance of the policy and is subject to the terms and conditions of the policy to be issued. The terms of any binder will be set forth in a written binder confirmation.
Certificates of insurance are issued as a matter of information only and confer no rights upon the certificate holder. A certificate of insurance does not amend, extend, or alter the coverage afforded by the policy to which it refers.
Policy Forms, Conditions, and Exclusions
All insurance policies issued through the Corgi platform contain terms, conditions, definitions, exclusions, and limitations that define and restrict the scope of coverage. Coverage descriptions on this website are general summaries only and do not include all terms, conditions, and exclusions of the actual policy.
Common exclusions may include, but are not limited to, losses arising from war, terrorism (except as provided under TRIA), nuclear hazards, intentional acts, contractual liability, pollution, employment practices (unless specifically covered), and prior or pending matters. Exclusions vary by policy type, carrier, and jurisdiction.
Policies may be written on an occurrence basis or a claims-made basis. Claims-made policies provide coverage only for claims first made against the insured during the policy period (or any applicable extended reporting period). The distinction between occurrence and claims-made coverage is material and is set forth in the issued policy.
Policyholders are strongly encouraged to read their policy documents in their entirety and to contact their insurance advisor or Corgi with any questions about the scope of their coverage.
Extended Reporting Periods (Tail Coverage)
For claims-made policies, an extended reporting period (also known as "tail coverage") may be available upon cancellation, nonrenewal, or expiration of the policy. An extended reporting period allows the insured to report claims arising from acts, errors, or omissions that occurred during the policy period but were not discovered or reported until after the policy ended.
The availability, duration, and cost of extended reporting periods vary by policy, carrier, and jurisdiction. Extended reporting periods do not extend the policy period or increase the limits of liability. Requests for extended reporting periods must be made in accordance with the terms of the policy and within the timeframes specified therein.
Defense Costs
Depending on the policy type and carrier, defense costs (including attorneys' fees, expert fees, and other costs of defending a claim) may be included within the policy's limits of liability or may be provided in addition to the limits of liability. If defense costs are included within the limits of liability (eroding limits), payment of defense costs will reduce the amount available to pay judgments or settlements.
The treatment of defense costs under your specific policy is set forth in the policy documents. Policyholders should carefully review their policy to understand how defense costs affect their available limits of liability.
Subrogation
After paying a claim, the issuing carrier may be entitled to pursue recovery from any third party responsible for the loss through the right of subrogation. Subrogation is the carrier's right to step into the insured's shoes and seek reimbursement from the party that caused the loss.
Policyholders are generally required to cooperate with the carrier's subrogation efforts and to do nothing to prejudice the carrier's right of recovery. Any amount recovered through subrogation, net of expenses, may be shared with the insured in accordance with the terms of the policy and applicable law.
Duty to Cooperate and Duty to Notify
Policyholders have a duty to cooperate with the issuing carrier in the investigation, defense, and settlement of any claim. This includes, but is not limited to, providing truthful and complete information, submitting to examinations under oath, producing requested documents, and attending depositions or trials as reasonably required.
Policyholders also have a duty to notify the issuing carrier promptly of any claim, potential claim, occurrence, or circumstance that may give rise to a claim, in accordance with the notice provisions of the policy. Failure to provide timely notice may result in a denial of coverage or a reduction in benefits, subject to applicable state law.
Other Insurance / Coordination of Coverage
If you have other insurance that covers the same loss or claim, the policies may contain "other insurance" provisions that determine how coverage is coordinated. Common other insurance provisions include pro rata, excess, and primary clauses.
The specific other insurance provisions applicable to your coverage are set forth in your policy. Policyholders are encouraged to disclose all existing insurance coverage to their insurance advisor to ensure proper coordination and to avoid gaps or overlaps in coverage.
Assignment and Transfer
Insurance policies issued through the Corgi platform may not be assigned or transferred to another party without the prior written consent of the issuing carrier. Any attempted assignment or transfer without such consent may be void and of no effect.
The rights and obligations of the insured under the policy are personal to the named insured and may not be delegated or transferred except as expressly permitted by the policy or applicable law.
Arbitration and Dispute Resolution
Certain policies issued through the Corgi platform may contain mandatory arbitration or alternative dispute resolution provisions. Where applicable, disputes between the insured and the issuing carrier regarding coverage, claims, or policy interpretation may be subject to binding arbitration or mediation in accordance with the terms of the policy.
The specific dispute resolution provisions applicable to your coverage are set forth in your policy documents. Nothing in these website disclaimers shall be deemed to modify or supersede any dispute resolution provisions contained in an issued insurance policy.
Flood, Earthquake, and Catastrophic Event Exclusions
Standard commercial insurance policies issued through the Corgi platform generally do not cover losses caused by flood, earthquake, earth movement, volcanic eruption, tidal wave, tsunami, or similar catastrophic natural events unless such coverage is specifically added by endorsement or provided under a separate policy.
If your business is located in an area prone to flooding or seismic activity, you are encouraged to discuss supplemental coverage options with your insurance advisor. Separate flood insurance may be available through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) or through private flood insurance markets.
Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Radiological Exclusions
Standard insurance policies issued through the Corgi platform contain exclusions for losses arising from nuclear reaction, radiation, radioactive contamination, biological agents, chemical agents, and radiological events, whether or not such events are related to acts of terrorism or war. These exclusions are standard across the insurance industry and apply regardless of the cause of the nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological event.
War and Civil Authority Exclusions
Standard insurance policies issued through the Corgi platform contain exclusions for losses arising from war, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war is declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, confiscation, nationalization, requisition, or destruction or damage by order of any government or public authority.
Policyholder Rights
As a policyholder, you have certain rights under applicable state law, which may include but are not limited to the right to receive a copy of your policy, the right to cancel your policy and receive a return of unearned premium, the right to receive timely notice of cancellation or nonrenewal, the right to a fair and prompt claims process, the right to appeal a claim denial, and the right to file a complaint with your state's department of insurance.
Certain states provide a "free-look" period during which a new policyholder may review the policy and return it for a full refund of premium if the policy does not meet the policyholder's needs. The availability and duration of any free-look period varies by state and by policy type.
For questions about your rights as a policyholder, contact your insurance advisor, the issuing carrier, or the insurance department in your state of residence.
Minimum Earned Premium and Short-Rate Cancellation
Certain policies issued through the Corgi platform may be subject to minimum earned premium provisions. If a minimum earned premium applies, a portion of the premium will be considered fully earned at inception of the policy and will not be refundable upon cancellation.
Policies cancelled by the insured before the end of the policy period may be subject to short-rate cancellation provisions, meaning that the return premium will be less than a pro rata refund to account for the increased cost to the carrier of providing coverage for a shortened policy period. The specific cancellation and return premium provisions are set forth in the issued policy.
General Disclaimers
Coverage is subject to underwriting approval and availability varies by jurisdiction. Nothing on this website constitutes a binder of insurance, a guarantee of coverage, or an insurance policy. Coverage is provided only under the terms, conditions, exclusions, and limits of an issued policy.
Any coverage descriptions, product summaries, or benefit overviews on this website are general in nature and for illustrative purposes only. They do not modify, amend, or supplement any insurance policy. In the event of a conflict between information on this website and the terms of an issued policy, the policy governs in all respects.
Not all products, coverages, or coverage limits are available in all states or jurisdictions. Products, coverages, terms, conditions, and availability are subject to change without notice. Minimum premiums, coverage limits, deductibles, and eligibility requirements may apply.
The availability of coverage through the Corgi platform does not guarantee that any particular applicant will qualify for coverage or that coverage will be offered on any particular terms.

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Corgi Insurance Services, Inc. and its affiliated entities, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers (collectively, the "Corgi Parties"), disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with:

This limitation of liability does not apply to any obligations arising under an issued insurance policy, which are governed solely by the terms and conditions of that policy and applicable law.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to your use of this website, the information provided hereon, or these disclaimers (excluding any dispute arising under or relating to the terms, conditions, or coverage of an issued insurance policy) shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules, with the seat of arbitration in New Castle County, Delaware. The arbitrator's award shall be final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. By using this website, you agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Corgi or any Corgi-affiliated entity with respect to any dispute covered by this provision. This arbitration provision does not apply to disputes arising under or governed by the terms of an issued insurance policy, which shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions of that policy and applicable law.
Severability
If any provision of these disclaimers is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such finding shall not affect the validity, legality, or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving its original intent.
Entire Agreement
These disclaimers, together with the Corgi Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Corgi with respect to your use of this website and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written, with respect to such subject matter.
Nothing in these disclaimers shall be deemed to modify, amend, or supersede the terms of any insurance policy issued by a Corgi-affiliated carrier.
